The timeless vintage glamour

Morning all! How is your weekend? Do you play with the snow there are dancing in the chilly wind? Oh, never mind it, all I hope is that you do have a good weekend.

I am excited to share with you something glamourous. As you may know that the 1920’s and the 30’s is called the “lost generation” . however, there is still a kind of decadence glamour in the time. To the very matter of fact, it would be a beautiful way to creat a classic vintage yet timeless wedding by getting some inspiration form this very era. As you can find from the colors in it: soft snow white and bold black with stunning pops of red for brighen up the chilly days. All of them makes perfect for winter wedding tone. By the way, you could also use some romantic purple or pink to take the place of red to make a more warm & sweet feeling in your big day.

Remember to try some subtle ways to brighten the bridal gowns, for example a bright flash of colour underneath the dress is a nod to the contemporary, whilst still capturing the fun and fashion of the 20′s. The red heel is the choice. The bouquet, the cakes can all be charming with the vintage tone. Of course, the dress itself would be the key note. Choose something slinky and satin with an element of beautiful beaded embellishment either on the dress itself or in your accessories. (PS: the picture was sited from bijouxbride)

Unpretentious big DIY wedding

I was touched by something so distinctly and clearly the first time I looked at this Ontario DIY wedding. Actually I have long been torned by a polarity feeling. The torn is between choosing whatever my little bridal heart fancied and then grounded by the realities that were the bank account numbers. The bright-eyed but budget conscious. This is the reality for thousands of brides.

However, another reality is that it can be fun and wonderful. As long as having a little creativity, teamwork and what is more important, the DIY details, your wedding could be unique.

Today the featured shotted was Trevor and Michelle’s Ontario DIY wedding. To some extent, the phots can serve as the proof that the demands of bridal industry can be successfully managed to accommodate your wedding budget. In reality, there iw no rules with weddings. You can have your DIY poms and have your cupcakes too.

The couple married at the Bluewater Shores Resort on Lake Huron. Dozens of adorable white cabins, with painted blue and yellow doors surrounding a charming activities centre. The atmosphere at the resort is comfortable and relaxed and so was the Newly married couple! Michelle decorated in yellows with paper poms and bird motif. They creatively carved white pumpkins and used vintage mason jars filled with wheat for center pieces. The floral was kept to a minimum with only Michelle carrying small bouquets and a couple of simple flower arrangements in the dining hall. Their wedding was totally unpretentious. In addition, they try their best to keep it eco friendly! It was really a joy to shoot! Here is their wonderful wedding photos.

Colorful and eco-chic wedding inspiration

Hello my dear readers! How did you spend the day? Got tired with the busy work? In think you would like the following things that I shared.

Today I got an extra-special inspiration board to share with you. The bride-to-be Danielle is a creative lady, who is a design technology teacher and photographer. She decided to make her own wedding in homemade, eco-friendly, and vintage delight theme. What’s more she even handmade her dress out of vintage doilies.Jus can not wait to see the dress! The colour scheme is red and fuschia, duck-egg blue, mustard and she also wanted to combine lots of natural materials, kraft paper and doilies into the scheme.

wedding planning ideas

The bright colours is really charming when it combined with the natural textures, burlap and doilies. There are also some great DIY projects in this theme, collecting vintage bottles and jars to use as containers for floral arrangements, making packets for wildflower seed favours, hairpieces for your maids, and even the bride. I am loving the doily wedding dress (centre) and the added pop of colour from the lining underneath! I really love it. Do you like it, my dear readers?
