Unpretentious big DIY wedding

I was touched by something so distinctly and clearly the first time I looked at this Ontario DIY wedding. Actually I have long been torned by a polarity feeling. The torn is between choosing whatever my little bridal heart fancied and then grounded by the realities that were the bank account numbers. The bright-eyed but budget conscious. This is the reality for thousands of brides.

However, another reality is that it can be fun and wonderful. As long as having a little creativity, teamwork and what is more important, the DIY details, your wedding could be unique.

Today the featured shotted was Trevor and Michelle’s Ontario DIY wedding. To some extent, the phots can serve as the proof that the demands of bridal industry can be successfully managed to accommodate your wedding budget. In reality, there iw no rules with weddings. You can have your DIY poms and have your cupcakes too.

The couple married at the Bluewater Shores Resort on Lake Huron. Dozens of adorable white cabins, with painted blue and yellow doors surrounding a charming activities centre. The atmosphere at the resort is comfortable and relaxed and so was the Newly married couple! Michelle decorated in yellows with paper poms and bird motif. They creatively carved white pumpkins and used vintage mason jars filled with wheat for center pieces. The floral was kept to a minimum with only Michelle carrying small bouquets and a couple of simple flower arrangements in the dining hall. Their wedding was totally unpretentious. In addition, they try their best to keep it eco friendly! It was really a joy to shoot! Here is their wonderful wedding photos.
